We are registered to take children from 2-5 years of age, We follow the Early years foundation stage curriculum (for further info please click the early years foundation stage hyper-link) At Thurrock Tiger's our highly experienced and equally qualified team of practitioners promote learning through play, they are able to deliver the early years foundation curriculum in a way in which your child can learn and have fun, all activities have planned learning intentions, are differentiated to each child's age and stage of development, no child will be excluded at Thurrock tigers as we pride ourselves on making reasonable adjustable measures so each child can learn and develop to their full potential, enjoying and achieving.

Under the EYFS there are six areas of learning (Problem Solving Reasoning and Numeracy, Knowledge and Understanding of the world, Communication Langauge and Literacy, Personal Social and emotional development, Creative development and Physical development, We have a wide range of resources set out for each session covering all learning intentions, The environment is set up in an attractive environment in which your child will be drawn in and want to play therefore will enjoy and achieve.

Not one of our children are the same we value equality and diversity and actively promote this throughout in entire setting, We feed in Children's current Interest/ Schematic interests when planning for the provision.

Each child will have their very own Key person this a person for a child of little/ no vocabulary which can tune into their needs and act as a spokesperson to convey them, they look after your child taking care of all their needs for their stay at Thurrock tigers, it's their responsibility to Observe and plan for your child's individual next steps ensuring your child is meeting the learning intentions throughout the EYFS curriculum, The key person will also form a bond with the parent as we value the parent as the child's first educator and most important person in the child's life, from the parent we are able to find out about the child so we can make their stay at Thurrock tigers a positive and rewarding one, the key person will provide your child with warmth, security and encouragement for their stay at Thurrock tigers.

In addition to the above planning we also follow the phase one letters and sounds programme, providing your child's with effective skills in communication, language and literacy, We also do a separate mathematics activity planning to ensure your child can develop in every aspect of problem solving, reasoning and numeracy.
